This Angry Birds board game requires at least 2 players and is geared towards children ages 4 years and up. It’s a fun game where you can not only build structures but you also get to knock them down. It directly takes it’s instructions from the digital game where the angry birds try to get back at the egg stealing pigs.

The way that this game works is the first player pulls a mission card and then the other player needs to build the structure that is on the card using the plastic blogs and figures. After the structure is properly built, the first player loads up an angry bird on the catapult and launches it to knock down the structure. The game can also be played with 4 players instead of 2 as well.

The game comes with 14 plastic structure pieces, 3 angry birds, a set of mission cards, catapult launcher, and several green pigs.  It includes detailed directions on how to add up points and rules when it comes to knocking down the pig structures.

The Angry Birds board game is a nice alternative to the digital app. Sometimes it’s nice to put down the cell phone or iPad and play an actual game with other people around you. Kids will have launching the angry birds and knocking down the structures and they may not even miss the original app version. Parents can join in on the fun as well as the game is not only a hit with kids but with adults as well.

The one aspect that parents will like about this game is that it is much more educational than the original Angry Birds app is. Kids have to actually build a structure based off a picture they see rather than just press some buttons on a phone. It helps to develop fine motor skills and coordination which is important for younger kids.

The one thing to beware of is that the Angry Birds game does have quite a few pieces to keep track of. If you are not a fan of games with lots of pieces, then you may want to skip this one for your kids. It also isn’t for kids under the age of 3 since some of the pieces are smaller and may pose as a choking hazard.

The Angry Birds Knock on Wood game is easy to set up, play and it’s a bunch of fun to knock things down. Fans of the original digital app, especially kids, will love the board game version as it comes to life right before them. Even if your little one hasn’t heard of Angry Birds, they will still enjoy building and knocking things down just like any little kid does.
