Whenever we get together with extended family or even with a group of friends for the night, we love to play board games for adults. It is a great way to have some fun and relax even if you do play with some people who get competitive.  I can’t even count how many times we have started a board game only not to finish it because we ended up laughing and joking more than playing the actual game.

This is a fun game of comparisons. Players must choose cards that closely relate to the noun card the judge chooses. Then the judge chooses which adjective card they like best. It can so much fun especially when you get some weird comparisons that make you laugh out loud. This game has been named Party Game of the Year by Game magazine and it is one of the most popular board games for adults.

This adult board game involves teams answering trivia questions or using their skills such as humming or drawing to win the answers. The first team that gets to the end and completes all their categories wins the game. When you play this game don’t be surprised if you have to get up and act like a famous person, hum a song, sculpt an animal or draw with your eyes closed. Oh, you better know your grammar and history questions as well.

For example if the letter is “D” and the category is cities you could write “Denver.” You get a point for each one you get unless another team or player writes the same answer and then you don’t get any points.

In this game you have to get your team to guess the words you are talking about but certain words are taboo or off limits when describing your given words. For example if the word is “crib” you may not be able to say the words sleep, nap or baby in your descriptions. This game will definitely get you laughing when people get frustrated or so anxious trying to describe and guess the words.
